1. i found it harder to type on
2. It's the same for me. The real speed increaser as well as wrist strain stopper is the dvorak keyboard setup. Download it here free: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvassist It's a setup relayout putting the most common keys on the strongest fingers.
3. Personally I like my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. The keys are split half on one side and half on the other. I find its easier to type
4. I use a microsoft natural, I love it.
5. Ergonomic keyboard IS really personal favor. Some might say brand A is better than brand B, or the other way around. I used it long time ago. It was awkward at the first time, but then your hands adjust to it, and you feel great sitting in front of computer finishing your tasks. Beside its look, i dont think ergonomic keyboard has disadvantages. However, that's my personal opinion only.
