Do ergonomic keyboards work well for gaming?

Do those curved keyboards work well for playing PC games like fps games and such?

1. How hardcore do you need a keyboard to be. Its a keyboard do you need wireless flashy lights and a super plush hand guard. Honestly a simple keyboard and a wrist guard works the same as the ones that are tricked out. Unless your a nerd with no life just go with a normal one with a hand guard.
2. The absolutle best keyboard i have ever found is the G15 From logitec "http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3498&cl=US,EN" they are good for gaming and for every day stuff :) however if you have some money you can buy a G19 http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/mice_keyboard_combos/devices/4956&cl=us,en but be prepared to pay nealy $200 more :P
3. Using a ergonomic or a standard keyboard is more a personal preference than anything... just like key mapping, it all depends on your preferences. Ergonomic keyboards won't give you any advantages over the standard keyboard in this aspect. In a few cases, an ergonomic keyboard can become a DISADVANTAGE if you're mapping keys across the entire board instead of one side for a keyboard-mouse control style... however, this can be overcome with use. Alternatively, there are specialized keyboards that are specifically designed for gaming... like Z-Board ($70 US) that have specially designed keys to work well for specific games. However, some players may choose NOT to spend for a specialized keyboard. Hope this sheds some light on the subject!
